Join 39 Essex Chambers’ barristers Judith Ayling KC, Bernard Doherty and Rebecca Livesey as they discuss the recent Supreme Court Judgement in CCC v Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust [2026] UKSC 5, looking at lost years claim generally, their conceptual basis, different methods of calculation and valuation, in claims brought by both adults and children, and problems which arise. They will try to offer some practical solutions. This seminar is aimed at both claimant and defendant solicitors.
