39 Essex Chambers – Three New Silks

We are celebrating three of 39 Essex Chambers’ barristers being recommended for appointment as King’s Counsels in 2026.

Christopher Staker, David Sawtell and Rose Grogan have been selected to be appointed as King’s Counsel as a recognition of their skill and dedication throughout their careers.

This marks a significant milestone for the individuals concerned but is also personal to everyone at 39 Essex Chambers, as well as families and friends.

Following the appointments, chambers will be home to 62 King’s Counsels, reflecting the depth and strength of our advocacy.
