COVID “misinformation” and a GP’s freedom of expression

Alexis Hearnden represented the GMC in a challenge brought by a GP against interim conditions which restricted his ability to use social media to advocate against mask wearing and raise concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine. The High Court heard arguments in respect of the doctor’s rights under Article 10(1) of the European Convention on Human Rights and the GMC’s statutory obligation to protect the public.
