Personal Injury Discount Rate – Press Release

The Civil Liability Act 2018 was passed into law yesterday, on 20^th December 2018. A review of the rate must commence within 90 days of 20^th December 2018 (by 20^th March 2019). The review period could then last up to 140 days. At the latest, therefore, there will be a decision on what the appropriate discount rate should be by 7^th August 2019.
