Property Damage

What Our Barristers Do

Our property damage barristers act in claims involving fire, subsidence, water penetration, environmental damage and building failures. Our work is often legally or factually complicated, with involved technical and liability issues.

Our barristers’ expertise cuts across practice areas, such as construction law, professional liability, commercial, insurance, real property, regulatory, public law and civil liability. We have considerable experience working with teams of experts, cross-examining technical witnesses, and work involving complicated disputes.

Who Our Barristers Act For

Our barristers act for and against companies (including international and well-recognised construction firms and construction professionals), government bodies and insurers. We have significant experience of actions involving the recovery of subrogated insurance expenditure and claims, including claims involving building warranty providers.

Where Our Barristers Act

We are instructed in respect of property damage disputes internationally and domestically, acting for parties in litigation, arbitrations, adjudications and dispute boards in a number of jurisdictions.

We are regularly instructed in serious and long-running public inquiries. Our barristers have deep expertise in several practice areas relating to fire safety-related claims and disputes.
