Insurance Fraud

What Our Barristers Do

Fraudulent and exaggerated personal injury claims are a growing problem for the insurance industry and taxpayer-funded entities such as the NHS. It has never been more important to ensure that premiums are kept to a minimum and that scarce resources are directed where they are needed most.

Our barristers have broad experience of fighting dishonest claims across every sector. We have particular experience in dealing with staged accidents, low velocity impact claims, fundamental dishonesty and exaggerated claims.

Our barristers also deal with fraudulent property damage, theft and long-term ill-health claims made against insurance policies.

Who Our Barristers Act For

Our clients include insurance companies, self-insured entities, government bodies and NHS trusts.

We are the leading chambers in pursuing applications to commit grossly dishonest claimants to prison for contempt of court. In the first case of its kind arising out of a clinical negligence claim brought against the NHS, we secured the first prison sentence for a claimant in 2018.

Our barristers have the skill and experience necessary to analyse evidence and weigh up the strength of allegations of fraud. This enables us to advise and represent those accused of insurance fraud and to secure pay-outs where they are due.

Where Our Barristers Act

Our barristers appear at all levels of the civil court system.
