We act in cross-border personal injury claims arising from accidents abroad. We offer expertise in the conflict of laws issues arising in such cases (typically jurisdiction and choice of law) and the handling and resolution of the injury aspects.
Our barristers have experience of the full range of such claims, typically brought against tour operators, hotels, transport companies or overseas motorists and insurers.
We also act in claims brought under international travel conventions such as the Montreal Convention for injuries to air passengers and the Athens Conventions for injuries to passengers at sea.
Our barristers are also experienced in clinical negligence claims arising from medical treatment abroad, both elective and emergency.
We act in individual and group litigation.
