WEBINAR: Prioritising access to life-saving treatment – legal considerations
As the current public health crisis intensifies, the need for NHS bodies to adopt policies on how they will prioritise access to life-saving treatment becomes more acute. There is an obvious risk that such policies will discriminate unlawfully in relation to protected characteristics including age and disability.
This webinar will explore:
- The legal basis for the prioritisation of NHS treatment
- The types of policies which NHS bodies are adopting
- Discrimination issues arising under the Equality Act 2010
- Human rights considerations
