Marion Smith QC to speak at the International Malaysia Law Conference 2018

Marion Smith QC is to speak at the International Malaysia Law Conference 2018 (IMLC), which will take place at The Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur between the 14th - 17th August 2018.

Marion will speak at two sessions during the conference. Her first session will be on "Dispute Resolution in the Securities Industry: The Way Forward". Resistance to mediation — are clients doing themselves a disservice by not including mediation and other avenues as a part of their dispute resolution options? What role should legal counsel play? Are you ready for modern problem solving?.

Marion's second session will be "Cross-Border Dispute Resolution: Access to Justice for Investors". The focus of this working group is on how the legal community — both local and international — and dispute resolution centres, can collaborate across borders and various jurisdictions to provide access to justice for participants of cross-border transactions.
