39 Essex Chambers team assist the OEP in its review of environmental assessments

On 19 October 2023 the OEP published its report on the implementation of environmental assessment regimes in England. 

The OEP commissioned research to help inform its work on the implementation of environmental assessment regimes. Legal research was carried out by Stephen Tromans KC, Ned Helme, Ruth Keating and Eleanor Leydon. 

In its report the OEP had concluded that practical issues with how assessment regimes are implemented must be addressed if Government is to meet its environmental ambitions.
