Foskett on Compromise

Sir David Foskett has heard recently that the 9^th edition of Foskett on Compromise has been deposited with the UNCITRAL Law Library and will be listed in the Library's On-line public access catalogue (OPAC). He has been told that "this important publication will also be cited in the 'Bibliography of recent writings related to the work of UNCITRAL', to be issued for the 54th UNCITRAL session in 2021." Chapter 36 of the book, entitled 'The Settlement of International Commercial Disputes', contains a detailed analysis of the law and practice associated with the settlement of international arbitration proceedings and, in particular, the settlement of international commercial disputes through mediation and their enforcement pursuant to the Singapore Convention.  Sir David has said that he is "delighted that the contribution of the book to this important area of international practice has been recognised in this way" and hopes that it will be of assistance to those facing issues or concerns arising, in particular, under the Singapore Convention.
