Alternative Dispute Resolution

What our barristers do

We offer expertise in all forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) both as retained counsel and as appointed neutrals (arbitrators, independent experts and mediators). We deal with such matters as development agreement “triggers”, section 106 obligation performance, lease interpretation, restrictive covenant disputes and professional negligence allegations.

Who our barristers act for

Our alternative dispute resolution barristers act as retained counsel for the full range of clients in these sectors, including developers and landowners, local authorities and other public bodies as well as private individuals, local residents and other objector groups. Appointments can be made directly or arise through panel membership, for example, those administered by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Where our barristers act

Our alternative dispute resolution barristers act as counsel and as appointed neutrals in dispute resolution hearings in the UK and internationally, particularly in the Middle East and Asia.
