Adjudication

What our barristers do

Adjudication is now an established form of dispute resolution in construction and engineering projects. It is used to resolve disputes quickly and without the need to resort to lengthy and costly court proceedings.

Our barristers are involved in all aspects of adjudication and dispute resolution across the entire range of construction, engineering, private finance initiative (PFI), public private partnership (PPP) and projectco disputes.

We act in disputes at all stages, from advisory work and settling referrals and other adjudication documents to appearing in hearings before adjudicators.

Our barristers have been instructed in many of the most complicated and high-profile court cases before, during and after adjudication, and in enforcement proceedings and related actions.

Who our barristers act for

Our barristers act for construction and engineering companies, contractors, sub-contractors, architects, employers, property companies, developers, surveyors, consulting engineers, investors, local authorities and government bodies.

Where our barristers act

Our barristers are regularly appointed as adjudicators and panel members of dispute boards, dispute resolution boards (DRBs), dispute adjudication boards (DABs) and dispute adjudication and avoidance boards (DAABs).

Many of our barristers are senior members of leading adjudication panels and accept appointments through adjudicator nominating bodies (ANBs) and through contractual pre-nomination and ad hoc appointments.

Our barristers act in adjudications and disputes both in the UK and across the globe.
