Our barrister act and advise in matters relating to industrial accidents, both fatal and non-fatal, gross negligence manslaughter and the niche area of corporate manslaughter, health and safety legislation relating to foods stuffs and defective products, and breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

We represent major companies in areas governed by the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016, emissions trading, corporate environmental governance, and due diligence. This includes defending corporations against charges from prosecuting authorities in the context of planning enforcement and environmental prosecutions.

We also advise in relation to procedural difficulties with criminal and civil proceedings.

Our clients include corporate entities, directors, partnerships, the Health and Safety Executive, local authorities, public bodies and insurers.

We act in prosecutions brought by the regulating authorities in the Magistrates’ Court, the Crown Court, the appeal courts, and in inquests and tribunals.
