The Building Safety Act 2022: One year on, where are we now?

It has been over a year since the enactment of the Building Safety Act 2022 and a team from the 39 Essex Chambers Fire Law team including Paul Darling KC, Kerry Bretherton KC, Kate Grange KC, David Sawtell, Samantha Jones, Samuel Burrett and Nicholas Higgs will examine the key issues presented by the implementation of the Act over the past 12 months. Topics to be discussed include:

• Leaseholder claims
• Remediation orders/remediation contribution orders 
• Cladding claims and fire Safety defects
• Insurance obligations/part 20 claims
