Japanese Knotweed

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee is conducting an inquiry into Japanese Knotweed and the Built Environment: see here.

According to ENDS Report (23 January 2019) some witnesses have questioned whether the perceived risks of damage caused by the plant are fallacious and whether mortgage lenders have over-reacted.
