Victoria Butler-Cole QC and Steve Broach have been instructed by Peter Todd at Hodge Jones & Allen on a proposed challenge to the NICE guidelines on critical care in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic. The issue raised is the likely detriment to patients with autism or learning disabilities by the published guidelines, which required an assessment of 'frailty' for all adult patients applying a scale developed for use with elderly patients.
