The Role: Assistant Practice Manager – Public Law
Reporting to a Director of Clerking, and as part of a friendly and experienced team, you will provide a full range of practice management and administrative support including diary and case management. The team support over 50 leading public law practitioners, who act in high profile and newsworthy cases.
This is a fabulous opportunity for a candidate who has previous junior clerking or relevant suitable experience, ready to step up and take on more responsibilities, or for a bright graduate looking for a role in professional services. Opportunities for development and advancement are excellent.

The Candidate (Person Specification)
We are looking for a candidate who has the following:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and good numeracy skills.
- Ability to multi task and operate within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- A confident and positive attitude.
- Ability to work on own initiative, and be able to know when appropriate to seek help, as well as being team focussed.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable interest in the practice areas covered by our Public Law team.
- Previous experience as a junior clerk or other relevant suitable experience (desirable).
- 3 A-level qualifications equivalent or equivalent, or relevant degree standard qualification (desirable).
Some of these above may be demonstrated through extra-curricular activities or voluntary work rather than formal employment.
