A new Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 has been made. This will replace the 2010 DMPO from 15th April 2015. Transitional provisions retain the 2010 provisions for planning applications which are already in the system.
For the most part the order is a consolidation of the existing development management procedure order provisions. However the substantive changes are to introduce the new procedure for the deemed discharge of details under planning conditions, make various other changes to the approval of details and alter consultation requirements, in particular introducing an obligation to notify applications within 10 metres of railway land.
This comparison table has been prepared by Richard Harwood QC referencing the 2010 and 2015 DMPO provisions. The 2015 order will be covered in his book Planning Permission which is to be published by Bloomsbury Professional later this year.
