39 Essex Chambers picked up an array of accolades last night at the Chambers Bar Awards 2012. The set featured prominently in the list of winners, picking up three awards, at what is undoubtedly one of the biggest nights of the legal calendar.
Robert Jay QC continued his prominence in the Human Rights & Public Law arena, winning ‘Silk of the Year’, and the Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence group also reigned supreme being awarded ‘Set of the Year’, as well as Derek O’Sullivan taking home ‘Junior of the Year’ for the category.
The set was also shortlisted for a number of other categories including ‘Professional Discipline Set of the Year’, ‘Human Rights & Public Law Set of the Year’ and also for the overall ‘Set of the Year’ award.
The Chambers Bar Awards have become a major fixture in the UK legal calendar, rewarding exceptional achievement over the past year for chambers, silks and juniors alike.
