The 39 Essex Chambers Pupils Are 'Tribunal's Best' At The WCA Annual Competition

The 39 Essex Chambers pupils, Nicholas Higgs, Anirudh Mathur and Daniel Kozelko, were delighted to win the 'Tribunal's Best Team' award at the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators' annual arbitration competition this weekend.  Teams from law schools, solicitors firms and other chambers all took different roles in the real-life, weekend-long arbitration hearing.  The Tribunal was chaired by Sir Peter Cresswell, whose judgment in the Ikarian Reefer proved very relevant to the proceedings.

The pupils agreed that the competition provided an excellent introduction to international arbitration practice, as well as being a very enjoyable weekend.
