Susan Rodway acted for James Robshaw against United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Due to mistakes during his birth James, now 12, suffers from cerebral palsy due to permanent brain damage from oxygen starvation. He has retained his intellect and lively sense of humour but has severe physical disabilities including inability to speak. He requires round the clock care and his damages will go towards that, modifications to his home, hoisting equipment, therapists and education and technology to improve his quality of life.
The ground breaking judgment of Foskett J also awarded James a home therapy pool and a motor-home for travelling.
