Susan Rodway QC and Emily Formby of Thirty Nine Essex Street, instructed by Neil Elliott of Thrings, acted for Charles Organ who has been awarded damages approved by Macduff J in  the High Court on 26 November 2012.  Five years ago, aged 62, Charles suffered a catastrophic brain injury due to the  mismanagement of his injuries  following a cycling accident.  Since then, Charles has been cared for by his devoted wife, Sue, who was praised by the Court for “standing up to the challenge and providing wonderful love and support”.  Requiring 24 hour care, the settlement of £2.35 million lump sum and periodical payments of £300,000 per annum index linked to ASHE 6115 90th percentile means Charles can buy suitable accommodation adapted to his needs and purchase necessary care for the rest of his life.
