Saima Hanif successfully appeared for the Metropolitan Police, in an application to revoke the premises licence of a nightclub in Westminster, called Avalon. Following a fatal shooting at the nightclub on 26 December 2013, the Metropolitan Police (represented again by Saima Hanif) applied for an expedited review and obtained a suspension of the premises licence as an interim measure on 30 December 2013, pending a full review hearing. At the full review hearing the Licensing Sub-Committee granted the application, in light of the seriousness of events. The decision of the committee can be found here.
Saima Hanif is recommended in the legal directories as a leading junior in Licensing.
