Re-thinking International Arbitration Post Covid-19 (7th KCAB INTERNATIONAL & FRIENDS Webinar Series)

CategoryWebinars Archive Author Steven Lim Date

Chambers was delighted to co-host this KCAB INTERNATIONAL webinar, along with Yulchon LLC, with Steven Lim and Samar Abbas joining a panel of distinguished speakers to discuss ‘Re-thinking International Arbitration Post Covid-19’.

The embrace of technology, in the midst of the pandemic, opens vistas to rethinking international arbitration practice, moving away from Procrustean convergence on a single procedural archetype back to arbitration’s protean bespoke origins. We will explore how technology can be utilised for more efficient and effective case management, redesigning arbitration procedure, moving away from a unitary archetypical procedure culminating in one concentrated merit hearing, to different pathways tailored to specific cases and parties, use of inquisitorial procedures when appropriate and early, more frequent and substantive colloquy between the tribunal and parties on the dispositive issues in the case.

Date and Time:

Thursday 29th October
