This joint seminar, in conjunction with Browne Jacobson, pitched at intermediate level, is aimed at local authority senior officers and lawyers. The course will look in detail at the case of BT v Cornwall Council & Others from a number of different angles to deliver a “lessons learned” session. The course will look at issues both in a theoretical and practical way. This will include the legal issues raised but also practical aspects of the case including electronic disclosure, evidence preservation and presentation in court. In addition we will be looking at the impact of the case on wider procurement issues in the context of preventative measures designed to prevent disputes of this kind.
