Further progress on the Summers strike-out jurisdiction

James Todd, instructed by Wendy Fox of Weightmans Liverpool and acting for Zurich Insurance, has secured the wholesale strike-out of a fraudulently exaggerated personal injury claim in the case of Admans v. Two Saints in Swindon County Court.

Recorder Watson QC concluded that the claimant's presentation on covert surveillance was grossly at odds with her claimed level of disability and that it was appropriate to invoke the interlocutory strike-out jurisdiction referred to by Lord Clarke in the landmark Supreme Court decision in Summers v. Fairclough Homes (2012).

Admans is the fourth in the line of cases that began with Sadie Crapper's case of Fari.
