Paul Darling QC and James Burton in first Zoom trial in the Technology and Construction Court

Paul Darling QC and James Burton have now completed the first week of a 9 day trial before the Hon. Mrs Justice Jefford DBE, sitting in the TCC. The claim concerns flooding (ongoing) and is brought in trespass and nuisance. Paul and James represent the Claimants, instructed by Barton Legal. The trial, which is in public, with press attendance, is being conducted entirely via Zoom. To date the trial has proceeded smoothly, including examination of witnesses and the use of the screen sharing function for the playing of video footage.
