Victoria Butler-Cole: The approach of the Court of Protection to giving or refusing consent on behalf of incapacitated adults, in particular in relation to novel or experimental therapies
Professor Pat Price (clinical oncologist, Imperial College London): Montgomery in practice, in particular the difficulties caused by all reasonable treatment options having to be put to the patient – who decides what are those treatment options, risk of American defensive medicine where checklists are given and the therapeutic relationship is undermined.
