Martin Edwards has collaborated with the College of Law to produce a DVD entitled “Core Programme 5697 Property: National Planning Policy Framework”.
Please see below for a further overview of the DVD which is available to purchase from the College of Law:
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was published in March 2012, and is a key part of the Government’s reforms to make the planning system less complex and more accessible, promoting growth via sustainable economic, social and environmental development, whilst reflecting the needs and priorities of local communities. The new system provides that the NPPF must be taken into account in the preparation of local and neighbourhood plans, and is a material consideration in all planning application decisions. This programme considers:
• The implications of the NPPF, in particular how it will affect local plans and local decision-making
• The presumption in favour of sustainable development
• The economic, social and environmental roles of planning policy emphasised in the NPPF”
