Junior Of The Year - Family Awards 2019

Chambers is delighted to announce that Alex Ruck Keene has been shortlisted for Junior of the Year at this year's Family Law Awards. The awards recognise those who have made a significant commitment and contribution to making a difference in family law.

Alex has long been recognised for his expertise in mental capacity matters and has for many several years been singled out as one of the 'star juniors' in the Court of Protection Health & Welfare category by Chambers & Partners. However, he is increasingly known both for his policy work on law reform matters and for his commitment to the promotion of better practice and better knowledge of the MCA 2005 and mental capacity law more generally. He spends a significant amount of time lecturing and training professionals concerned with the MCA 2005 and writes extensively on the subject both in print and online. Alex also, along with Victoria Butler-Cole QC, set up the monthly Mental Capacity Law Report which is described as a 'bible' for those working in the area and now has a circulation of over 13,000. He also created and maintains the website 'Mental Capacity Law and Policy'.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, taking place on the 27th November.
