Ian Brownhill appointed to World Sailing’s Safeguarding Disciplinary Tribunal

39 Essex Chambers is delighted to announce that Ian Brownhill is one of eleven global safeguarding experts who has been appointed to the World Sailing’s Safeguarding Disciplinary Panel.

World Sailing is the world governing body for the sport of sailing recognised by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee.  Following on from the adoption of World Sailing’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures last year this is a further commitment to safe sport and the prevention of harassment and abuse in sailing. The members were carefully recruited in order to ensure global representation with a balance of experience and expertise in safeguarding and sports disciplinary work.

39 Essex Chambers has a broad safeguarding practice and Ian’s appointment is reflective of our team’s national and international experience, both in sport and beyond.
