High Court declares that Government's Carbon Budget Delivery Plan breaches its obligations under the Climate Change Act 2008

In a judgment handed down on 3 May 2024, Mr Justice Sheldon ruled that the Government's Carbon Budget Delivery Plan breaches its obligations under section 13 of the Climate Change Act 2008. The strategy sets out the Government's policies and proposals for meeting carbon budgets set by Parliament.
