On 7 June 2016,  James Burton appeared before the House of Lords Select Committee into the High Speed Rail (London-West Midlands) Bill on behalf of the HS2 Action Alliance, in respect of the Promoter’s challenge to their locus standi.

HS2AA are arguably the leading route-wide petitioner and the 90 minute hearing involved consideration of the range of the Promoter’s legal arguments concerning standing.
