High Court grants permission for challenge to adoption of Wycombe Local Plan

CategoryNews Author James Burton Date

Today (18.03.2020) Mrs Justice Lang granted the Claimant, Keep Bourne End Green, leave to proceed with its statutory challenge to the adoption of the Wycombe Local Plan (2013-2033) (permission having been refused on the papers by Mr Justice Waksman). The five grounds for which leave was granted include that the examining Inspector’s rejection of the 2016-based household projections published by the ONS in September 2018 as the starting point for calculation of objectively assessed housing need was unlawful, a point with potential implications for many “transitional” Local Plans.

James Burton appeared for the Claimant.
