Andrew Williams, a family solicitor, was intervened by the SRA due to an association with a solicitor who was under investigation. The intervention was withdrawn by the High Court in December 2014 (with the consent of the SRA). The SRA paid £50000 towards Mr Williams’ costs, but he will receive no compensation.
Greg Treverton-Jones QC acted for Mr Williams on a conditional fee agreement.
