Medical Treatment Cases
What our barristers do
We have been at the forefront of medical treatment and right-to-die cases for several years, with our barristers being involved in many of the recent landmark judgments.
Our barristers have written and contributed to the leading practitioners’ text in this field, ‘Court of Protection Practice’, and regularly speak at cutting-edge lectures and conferences.
We are aware that disputes in the context of medical treatment often arise outside the standard working day. We provide 24-hour assistance in urgent cases, whether by way of advice or representation at out-of-hours hearings.
Who our barristers act for
Our barristers act on behalf of NHS bodies, family members, professional bodies and the Official Solicitor.
Where our barristers act
Our barristers appear in the Court of Protection, the Family Court, the Administrative Court and in mediations. We have close links with medical mediation services and a number of our barristers are trained mediators.
