The Event
We are delighted to invite you to an evening discussion between 39 Essex Academic Associates Professor Paul Craig, Professor Catherine Barnard and Baroness Shami Chakrabarti CBE, chaired by Lord Justice Lewis. The discussion will be focusing on their recently released titles:
- English Administrative Law from 1550: Continuity and Change by Paul Craig – This series presents original work in legal history from 1550 to the modern day.
- Low-Paid EU Migrant Workers by Catherine Barnard, Fiona Costello and Sarah Fraser Butlin – An in-depth exploration of the lives of EU migrant workers in the UK following Brexit and COVID-19.
- Human Rights: The Case for the Defence by Shami Chakrabarti – A powerful and urgent explanation and vindication of our human rights and freedoms.
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and a drinks reception. Everyone attending will have the opportunity to purchase a signed book.
