We are excited to announce the launch of the three-part Banking and Finance webinar series by 39 Essex Chambers focusing on the evolving case law of fraud claims against banks, developments at the DIFC Courts and looking ahead to Financial Services Regulation in 2025.
Join the 39 Essex Chambers Barristers and external speakers for the first lunchtime webinar on Wednesday, 9 October, at 1pm BST, to hear updates on frauds perpetrated by company directors and shareholders as well as Authorised Push Payment (APP) frauds.
During this lunchtime webinar the speakers will consider leading cases and new legislation including:
- Phillip v Barclays Bank PLC [2023] UKSC 25;
- RBS v JP SPC4 [2022] UKPC 18; and
- Section 72 of Financial Services and Markets Act 2023.
There will also be an opportunity for questions and discussion. Questions can be sent using Zoom’s Q&A function.
