Colin McCaul QC has been appointed as an Independent Disciplinary Panel Member of Scottish Athletics. As the National Governing Body for Athletics in Scotland, Scottish Athletics is affiliated to UK Athletics, which is in turn affiliated to the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).
He has also been appointed as a Member of the Integrity Committee of British Cycling, which is the internationally recognised national governing body for cycling in Great Britain. The Committee reviews and recommends appropriate standards and policies to which all aspects of cycling will be held accountable from The Great Britain Cycling Team to the grassroots. Areas for review by the Committee include anti-cheating, anti-doping, athlete welfare, betting and gambling, human rights, performance enhancement, race-fixing, safeguarding and technological fraud.
