The claim against the club and its employed physiotherapist was dismissed. The claimant succeeded, but only for very limited damages, against the other defendant, the club’s GP who was engaged as a self-employed contractor.
The claim was by an Everton Academy player (also a Philippine youth international player) for the loss of his professional football career in the FAPL – value unquantified but significant.
