Ashley Pratt Joins Chambers

We are delighted to announce that Ashley Pratt has joined Chambers from 7 Bedford Row.

Ashley has an extensive civil and commercial practice being instructed on high value cases and inquiries that have attracted both national and local media attention.

Ashley's civil practice is rooted in medical matters that span clinical negligence, personal injury, and inquiries (particularly those where there is suspected underlying medical negligence). In his clinical negligence practice he acts regularly for national firms and having a particular interest in head and spinal injuries in both children and adults. In the field of personal injury Ashley works exclusively on multi-track cases and has appeared on numerous occasions in the High Court. He has also appeared in many high profile inquests concerning clinical negligence matters and has experience of dealing with human rights issues within this field.

His commercial practice has seen him appear in both the Lands Tribunal and the Employment Tribunal, having acted also in liquidation proceedings and cross-border disputes worth circa $4m.

Ashley has recently co-authored the review chapter in the Professional Negligence Journal (focusing on commercial litigation), which was published by Bloomsbury Press in February 2020.

He joins Chambers with immediate effect.
