39 Essex Chambers is delighted to announce that leading construction barrister Anthony Edwards has today joined the set’s Construction, Commercial and International Group from St Philips Chambers.
Anthony was called to the Bar in 1999 and has since developed a highly successful construction and engineering practice. He specialises in heavy construction disputes arising from building and engineering activities both nationally and internationally, across a wide-range of business sectors. He has extensive experience in mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation working with most of the standard forms of contracts including JCT, ICE, FIDIC, NEC, IChemE and ACE. Anthony’s practice also extends to professional negligence actions.
In addition to his work as counsel, Anthony also acts as arbitrator, adjudicator, DABs, mediator and expert determiner.
Regularly cited by the legal directories as a leading construction junior, Anthony has been described by Chambers & Partners as “….excellent, very clever and knows the system.” He was also awarded CIArbs’ Cedric Barclay Prize for best International Arbitrator Award Writer of 2005.
