39 from 39: Episode 10 - Objectively assessed needs: a matter of judgement or a simple calculation?

In this webinar, Paul Stinchcombe QC and Ned Helme will take a tour of some of the key cases on housing land supply, culminating in the recent Court of Appeal decision in Oxton Farm v Harrogate Borough Council [2020] EWCA Civ 805.

Using this case as an example, they will explore whether, as a result of concerns about "excessive legalism" in planning, judicial deference to planning judgement is being taken too far by the courts.
