The main emphasis of her practice is:
- Commercial litigation involving business contracts of most types;
- Professional negligence and liability, especially disputes involving accountants, lawyers, construction professionals, surveyors and valuers; and
- Media and entertainment, with an emphasis on the film and music industry.
Her forensic strengths are in advocacy and the ability to assimilate facts rapidly and effectively. In addition, Marion has provided expert evidence in foreign proceedings on English contract law. She also regularly writes and lectures on contractual issues.

Marion is recommended for Commercial Litigation by the Legal 500 2008, where she is described as "brilliant".
