- Bias after Georgiou and Pembrokeshire National Park
- The Standards Board a "dual-hatted" guidance
- A local authority's well-being powers under the Local Government Act 2000.
Robert Jay QC specialises in administrative and public law, human rights and environmental and planning law at 39 Essex Street. Whilst a junior he was on the Attorney General's senior (now A) panel and received regular instructions from a number of government departments in these areas. Since taking silk in 1998 he is regularly instructed by both claimants and defendants, and has had a significant number of reported, high-profile cases involving a range of public law issues.

Richard Harwood specialises in planning, environmental, parliamentary and public law at 39 Essex Street Chambers, acting for private and public sector clients. He has appeared in the bias case of Bovis Homes and advised local authorities on probity issues. He is recommended by Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 for planning and environmental and by Planning magazine. He is a member of the Advisory Panel on Standards for the Planning Inspectorate and a local councillor. His writing experience includes being a case editor of the Journal of Planning and Environment Law and is co-authoring the Law Society's guide to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 with Stephen Tromans, Martin Edwards and Justine Thornton.
