John Pugh-Smith and Katie Scott spoke at the LLG Weekend School 2018, which was held in Bristol on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th March 2018.

The session proved popular with delegates and provided a brief overview of the different models of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). They described the current landscape, looking at recent judicial pronouncements on ADR and outlining some of the schemes that are either in place or being planned, also discussing ADR in particular contexts with a particular emphasise on Planning and CPO, the Court of Protection, and Judicial Review.  They also examined the benefits and drawbacks of ADR, and made practical suggestions as to how and when to use ADR.
