James Ramsden QC appears before the Chief Justice of the Cayman Islands for the International Banking Corporation

On 6th-8^th September 2017 James Ramsden QC appeared before the Chief Justice of the Cayman Islands in an application by The International Banking Corporation, supervised by the Bank of Bahrain, for access to documents held by the Financial Services Division of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands under the evolving "open justice" principle. The case concerned the development of the principle for commercial as opposed to purely public interest and the question of how the principle applies in cross-border disputes whilst maintaining comity between different jurisdictions.
