This seminar was chaired by Ms Justice Henke, and looked at approaches to the treatment of anorexia, the controversial concept of ‘terminal anorexia’, and how the Court of Protection makes decisions authorising a palliative approach to care for patients. The seminar was joined by Victoria Butler-Cole KC, Nicola Kohn, Mungo Wenban-Smith (39 Essex Chambers), Hope Virgo (Author), Nicky Smith (Manchester Metropolitan University, Senior Lecturer), Dr Agnes Ayton (RCPsych Consultant) and Dr Ty Glover (Schoen Clinic Group).
