Deprivation of Liberty in the Community Course (Alex Ruck Keene)

Aims: Alex Ruck Keen will present this one day course designed to enable participants to identify when applications need to be made to the Court of Protection to authorise deprivation of liberty and to comply with the requirements set down by the Court for making such applications.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the day participants will have learned:

  • The key legal principles governing deprivation of liberty in the community setting
  • To identify and collate the necessary evidence for making applications to the Court of Protection to authorise deprivations of liberty in the community setting
